Invoice PDF app help

Supported documents, offline use, sharing and optional backup.

This guide covers Edit Invoice, Quote & Bill PDF, also known as PDFlares. For a first invoice, follow the step-by-step PDF tutorial.

Which PDFs can I use?

Use a compatible digital invoice, quotation, receipt or letterhead PDF. The app does not provide OCR for scanned paper photos, and password-protected or restricted PDFs are outside its supported workflow.

If text or layout looks wrong, keep the original file, try a fresh digital PDF export from the source document and check the result before sharing. Different fonts and PDF structures can affect editing. Contact support if a compatible file still fails; explain the steps and app version before sending any document.

What works offline?

Local PDF preparation and editing can work without internet. Keep the files you need on your phone. Sending a WhatsApp message and uploading or restoring cloud backups require connectivity.

Guest mode does not require an account. Files stored only on the phone are not a cloud backup; keep a separate copy of important exported PDFs before clearing app storage or changing devices.

How do I share an invoice through WhatsApp?

Review the PDF, use the app's sharing action and choose WhatsApp when Android offers it. Select the intended conversation, check the attachment and message, then send in WhatsApp. Sharing does not give ByteFlares access to your WhatsApp chats.

If WhatsApp is unavailable in the sharing options, confirm it is installed and try exporting the PDF to your phone, then attach that file in WhatsApp. If a message is waiting to send, check the internet connection in WhatsApp.

How does optional cloud backup work?

Google sign-in identifies the account used for backup. App backup transfers go through the ByteFlares Cloudflare service; this is not a Google Drive backup. An internet connection is required.

The current per-file cloud transfer limit is 20 MiB. A file missing from local storage or larger than that limit may be omitted from an upload. Keep an independent copy of important PDFs and verify the files you need after restoring. A successful account sign-in alone does not mean all files are backed up.

Restoring on another phone

Sign in with the same Google account and use the app's restore option. Allow the transfer to finish and check the restored documents before deleting files from the original phone. If no backup is found, confirm the account used on the original phone. For a restore failure, reconnect and contact support with the error and app version.

Do payment status and stamps collect money?

Payment status, reminders and stamps help maintain your records. The app does not process payments or connect to a bank account. Confirm that you received a payment before marking a bill paid.

How do I request account or cloud data deletion?

Email byteflares1@gmail.com and identify the Google account used for backup. Tell us whether you want your account, cloud backup data, or both removed. Do not send your password.

Signing out does not remove local files or, by itself, delete a cloud backup. Removing an account in the app should not be treated as confirmation that every cloud file has been deleted. Contact support for a cloud data deletion request and confirmation. See the privacy policy for the data involved.

Still need help?

Describe what you entered, what you expected, what happened and your app version. Avoid sending customer details or confidential invoice files in the first message.
